Do you remember the preposterous but brilliant 80s movie Commando, where Ahnald is forced to go back into action when his daughter is killed? Well, Major Mayhem is pretty much the same thing but the daughter is a wife (lets make this clear, she was never his daughter) and its not just goons that have to be killed but ninjas.

Major Mayhem is a lovely throwback of a game; a third-person side scroller where the main character, Mayhem to you and I, is thrown into a number of different situations  - and what he has to do is hide behind a rock and then shoot as many individuals as possible.

Its not the most varied game on earth but it is cracking fun. Its a touch annoying that you have to aim by putting your finger over the target but you soon get used to it and have fun trying to think up as many combinations as possible.

Once you are finished with Arcade, then there are a number of other modes, Timebomb, Arcade and Survival, to try your shot at.

Brilliant shooty fun, Major Mayhem knows how to spice up balls-to-the-wall action with a much-needed smattering of humour.
